SEIA 201

The SEIA 201 residential and small commercial installation standard covers five sets of requirements and guidelines: contractor qualifications, design and equipment, installation, quality management and operations and maintenance (O&M), and inspection and verification.

Sample guidelines include how contractors demonstrate their ability to install safe and reliable solar and storage systems, roof conditions needed before installation of rooftop solar, elements of a contractor’s quality management plan, and documents for residential contractors to retain for the term of the initial customer agreement.
